Operation Carelift isn't just about hand-delivering CarePacks and humanitarian aid, it's about sending people to the former Soviet Union to be living testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Twice a year Operation Carelift takes approximately 200 volunteers on short term mission trips to Belarus, Ukraine, western Russia and Siberia. The participants are everyday Christians, whether 5 or 85 years old, who have a heart for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. They become the hands and feet of Jesus to needy children and adults in the orphanages, prisons, hospitals, youth camps and other facilities. Most of these children have been abused, abandoned and forgotten. They want to know if anyone loves and cares about them. By sharing a hug, a smile, and your time, you can be the one to let a hurting child know that he or she is loved by God.
